Called a Lunatic: Insult or Compliment?

Called a Lunatic: Insult or Compliment?

Lunatic is a seldom used word.

Let’s start by considering meanings typically attached to “Lunatic.”

A crazy person.

Someone who marches to the beat of a different drummer.

Someone who is not connected to reality.

A very foolish person.

An individual with an unsound mind.

A madman or person who is mentally deranged or insane.

A person who is a danger to themselves and perhaps to society.

Generally speaking, a Lunatic would certainly be someone who is in the minority in how they think and how they live.

Have you ever considered: being called a Lunatic would be a real complement?

I just finished watching the movie Lunatic Farmer.

The Lunatic Farmer is about perhaps the 1st real organic farmer in the U.S., who went big with organic farming in a God-honoring way. It is a documentary interview with Joel Salatin, who saw things differently over 60 years ago. Joel’s family struggled for their first 20 years farming in the U.S. as they diligently applied an understanding of farming contrary to the world around them.

Seldom have I watched a movie so educational and inspirational. I highly recommend watching this documentary.

I am very eager to discuss it with anyone who watches it.

Here is the link to Angel Studios to watch it.

Consider though, Christ’s teachings were so outside the general population, many considered HIM to be a Lunatic.

So, if Christ, who was and is a dynamic truth-teller and a life-giver, was/is considered by some people to be a Lunatic, perhaps being considered a Lunatic is more of a compliment than an insult or derogatory reference.

Are you proud to be a truth-teller, when the general population does not accept truth?

Are you energized to be a life-giver when your gift of knowledge is generally ignored and discounted by everyone around you?

Do you experience joy in living abundantly with generosity, grace, and forgiveness which the world sees as foolishness?

We live in very interesting times. It is difficult to discern what is truth these days.

I believe there will be a lot of truth revealed to the general population this year. Perhaps the movie mentioned above will be a significant part of truth revelation in the coming months.

When I am exposed to and learn new information which I completely believe to be true, I ask myself, “What am I to do with this information?”

This happened when I became a Christian, was baptized in Christ, and began learning truths in the Bible I had not been taught before.

It was repeated when I attend my first “Business by the Book” seminar in 1996 and began learning how much the Bible teaches us how to do business properly, for the glory of God, in ways which are profitable now and forever. I again asked myself, “What am I to do with this information?”

Since I began learning about health and wellness after signing up with a Medi-share healthcare program in 2001, I continually ask myself, “What am I to do with this information?”

Think of the aha moments of your life. Are you not eager to share newfound truths with others?

Yet, how often are others eager to learn about truths new to you?

I continue to dream of the body of Christ transforming the world we live in as we work together applying God’s truths to all of life.

Watch the movie. Let’s continue the conversation. Let’s work together for the glory of God.
