TCA’s 2019 Business & Ministry Conference featured keynote speaker Alan Barnhart and motivational breakouts presented by industry leading CEOs and Business Owners.  We’ve put together videos of each breakout session and gathered some photos of various moments throughout the conference.

Every organization needs a roadmap or strategic plan to define company values, create a singular vision and chart a direction for growth.

The process begins with:
1. Crafting a mission/purpose and vision statement
2. Defining company objectives, and
3. Performing an analysis of company strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This analysis is often called a SWOT analysis, then finally –
4. Developing a long-term Strategic Plan.

Carl joined PSST in 2014 and serves as PSST’s Chief Executive Officer. Carl’s experience includes classroom instruction, University Department Chairmanship, and K-12 Human Resource Management. He provides strategic direction for PSST while managing the daily operations.

Carl is active in his community serving on the VOA board of directors and providing strong leadership in his church. Carl is an active TCA member.

Mark Whitacre is an Ivy League Ph.D. and is considered the highest-ranked executive of any Fortune 500 company to become a whistleblower in U.S. history, and was responsible for uncovering the ADM price-fixing scandal in the early 1990s. Mark is currently COO of Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC), an 89-year old organization that has impacted his life greatly the past two decades.

Mark is also COO & Chief Science Officer of Cypress Systems, Inc. Cypress Systems, Inc. is a California biotech company involved with human clinical trials (cancer research). Mark also serves on the Advisory Board of this company.

Larry recently served as the President and CEO of PSST Seamless Data Solutions, a tech company which he founded with his wife Connie Roach by his side. He has 45 years of experience as software development entrepreneur and business leader, recently bringing ACA-Track™ to the business community. It is the collect, monitor and reporting solution for the Affordable Care Act.

Early on, Larry embraced the Business by the Book philosophy, hosting couples’ business forums, C12 groups and was a founding member of The Christian Advantage (TCA).

Business owners understand the importance of staying on mission, but without intentionality a company’s mission will drift. It can be even tougher for Kingdom-minded business owners to stay on mission in today’s rapidly changing culture.  Do you know how to resist and overcome Mission Drift in your company?

Clint Park is a Business Consulting Services Specialist for Ronald Blue Trust.  Clint provides advice and teaches practical applications for Christian Business Owners.    Once fired from a corporation for expressing his faith at work, Clint now enjoys working to further the cause of Business as Ministry.

Clint earned an MBA in Finance/Strategy from the University of North Carolina and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Finance degree from Villanova University.  He is an active member of his local church and has led mission trips to Haiti with Global X.

Clint and his wife, Robin, live in Canton, GA and have a son and a daughter.

Bernie Fineman discusses his personal experience with growing two companies alongside his partners.  He will present the power of prayer and the transformations that unfolded.  Bernie will share his personal story of transformation and God’s glory.

Bernie Fineman is the majority owner of Caldwell Tanks, Inc. and Preload, LLC. Since 1985, Caldwell has grown from 17 to over 250 employees and become an industry leader.

 For the past 4 years, Bernie has been rapidly learning the benefits of ministry being a priority in the workplace. Bernie earned a BSC – Finance from the University of Louisville in 1975, and an MBA in 1979. He has three children” Lauren (27), Kelly (36), and Michelle (37), all living in the Louisville area.
